Tire Discounters Grand Opening and Red Carpet Tire Roll!

The “Store of the Future” is here today. TireDiscounters,  the region’s largest provider of tires and automotive services, announced the opening of its new store prototype at 10174 Colerain Ave, Colerain Township, Ohio!

The new store was designed with women in mind  is a radical departure from what you think of as a typical tire store, both in terms of environment and experience. New features of the store include an expanded showroom with information to assist customers with making decisions, video feeds of work being done on vehicles, complimentary Wi-Fi and a refreshment bar for waiting customers, and one of my favorite features is the children's play area!

The store also features many eco-friendly features, like energy efficient glass, recycled rubber materials for flooring and landscaping, LED lighting and light-reflecting roofing.
This is the first store of its kind for Tire Discounters, and there is an aggressive plan to put this prototype store in many other locations in the near future

I'm excited to stop in and check out the new Tire Discounters store!

From Garbage to Gourmet: A new eBook filled with recipes to reduce the amount of food that we throw away!

From Garbage to Gourmet

American households throw 25% of the food that we purchase - and it's not just bread heels and moldy leftovers.  There's a whole host of edible things that we automatically throw away, but that can be used to make delicious food!  My ebook features over 80 recipes for using things like broccoli stalks, potato peels, carrot ends, herb stems, onion peels, and more.  And these aren't just "throw it in a soup and call it good" recipes - we've got Asian Broccoli Slaw, Poor Man's Apple Cider, Corn Cob Chowder, Chocolate Cheesecake Bites, and Magic Hot Fudge Cake, to name a few.  Plus, there are 115 pages of tips for reducing food waste and creating delicious food out of things you normally throw away.

One Way I Stay Organized: The Confident Mom Household Planner

If you are looking for an easy way to get organized, I highly recommend the Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner! It is awesome!

I love this planner for many reasons, but one of my favorite things is that it has a checklist of things to do around the house every day! Household chores are broken into manageable chunks- and it includes everything from cleaning the microwave, to clipping the children's nails! Most of the items can be completed in 3 to 30 minutes, and I recommend using a timer to help you to stay on track. Utilizing smaller increments of time helps to keep the tasks from becoming too large or overwhelming.

I don't know about you, but I am a checklist/to-do list kind of girl, so this weekly planner helps me to stay on task,  helps to management my time, and helps me to actually get things done around the house! I don't know why it is, but there is something about writing down everything that needs to be done, and getting some satisfaction when you cross each one off! It's nice to look back in the evening and have a feeling of accomplishment because you got everything done on your to-do list!

The Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner has kept busy moms (like myself) from all walks of life, whether you are a stay at home mom or a working mom, motivated and on track with all of your  to-do items day after day, week after week, all year long.

This planner has everything that you need to help you to accomplish more in less time, resulting in a smooth-running, stress- free household! Plus, I love that the whole week is on one page, and it includes a daily quiet time laid out that will get you through the bible in a year! (Note: A version without Bible reading is also available.)

There are several options for this planner. You can order the planner version for only $9, or the planner + supplement pack for only $14. The supplement packs comes with lots of goodies to help you to keep track of nearly everything!

Here's How To Use The Planner:

  1. Go to The Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner
  2. Choose the planner of your choice, download, print, and you're ready to go!

Some Great Tips:

  • You can print all 52 weeks and take them to an office supply store such as staples and have them spiral bind it (costs about $4).
  • Print all 52 weeks, plus the supplement pack and use a three-hole punch and place in a binder. I actually love that the planner + supplement has everything that you need to start a Home Management Binder!
  • Print each week as you go and clip to the refrigerator or other central location.

Here's How I use it:

I added a section in my Home Management Binder for the 52 week planner. The cover sheet is in a Samsill Non-Glare Sheet Protectors .  I also have them divided by month into the sheet protectors. For example, all of the February planners are in one sheet protector. Then every Sunday, I pull out that weeks planner out of the sheet protector. Then I cross off any tasks that don't relate to my household, and I add any additional tasks that need to be done that week.  Next, I love that I can also delegate certain items on the lists to family members, because after all, even with a household planner, I still can't be a "super mom". Last, but not least, I clip mine to my refrigerator weekly, to remind myself, and my family members to do what needs to be done, and we check mark each item off as they get completed!

I also have the Supplement kit which I divided into the corresponding sections in my Home Management Binder, with my other important printables that I use.

So what are you waiting for? Head over to order your very own copy of the  Confident Mom Weekly Household Planner!

(Note: After trying several different binders, I have found that I absolutely love the Samsill Antimicrobial Presentation View Binder! It has a special additive that helps to prevent the growth of bacteria and they are my favorite binders!)

Leave a comment & let me know what you think! I think that you'll love it as much as I do!

DIY Fitness & Exercise Binder

This time of  the year, a lot of people (myself included) have made a New Year's Resolution to lose weight, eat healthier, and/or to exercise more. It also seems as though most everyone breaks their New Year's Resolutions. This year, I am striving to stick to my New Year's Resolution: to workout and eat healthier. As you noticed, I didn't say "Diet", I said, "Eat Healthier". I need wiggle room, and I need to make it a healthier lifestyle choice, and not a diet. Because, when you are on a "diet" it doesn't stick!

After doing some research with my good friend, Google - I found out that the #1 way to stick to your New Year's Resolution is to be held accountable. One of the first things that I did to keep myself accountable was to make a Fitness & Exercise Binder. It is really easy to do & you can make one too!

Materials Needed For Your Fitness Binder:

  • Binder
  • Sheet Protectors
  • Dividers (optional)
  • Magazines and/or internet printables
  • scissors

Grab your binder of choice. Samsill® makes antimicrobial binders that have a special additive which prevents the growth of bacteria. Personally, these are my favorite binders!

You will definitely want to have some Samsill Non-Glare Sheet Protectors . You can slip your printable planners into a sheet protector, then use a dry erase marker to write directly on it, then easily wipe off and reuse.

You can also slip your magazine or internet articles into a sheet protector then add it to your binder. It makes it easy to add stuff to your binder, and the ink from the pages won't transfer!

This is also a great opportunity to clean out your magazine collection. If you have fitness or health magazine's lying around, these will come in handy while putting together your fitness binder. Just flip through your magazine's and decide which articles, and tips that you want to keep in your planner, then just cut them out. Look for recipes, workouts, or anything that your interested in keeping.

This is also a good time to print off any printables that you would like to have in your fitness binder/planner.

There are many printables available online. Go Here for some awesome fitness planning printables.

This awesome website has some great free printables. Go Here for a free weekly dinner planner printable, you can also go here for a free printable food diary.

After you have all of your printables, and all of your magazine or internet articles, organize them into categories. Here are some examples:

  • Food diary
  • Meal Planning
  • Recipes
  • Fitness Planner
  • Total body workout
  • Upper body workout
  • Cardio
You could get more detailed and have specific target area's such as abs, back, triceps, ect.

Now, label your dividers. I recommend Plastic dividers. Because they won't rip, like the paper one's will! You can always print some divider pages out if you'd prefer.

Now, all that you have left to do is add all of your stuff to your binder. Top it off with a cover page and your fitness binder/planner is ready to go!

Do you have any other idea's or tips for a fitness or exercise planner? What does your fitness binder have in it? Leave a comment below and share!

Check out Pinterest for more great idea's!

Thanks to this post here for the inspiration for this post.
